Life with Connor

Having Connor around definitely keeps us on our toes, there is never a dull moment in the Dimond home that's for sure! Our little man is 2 1/2 months old now and has been growing right before our eyes. Where has the time gone already? I now understand why mom's say, "just wait before you know it they will be all grown up!" That is how we feel on a daily basis with Connor. It is fun to see him grow and develop and learn about the world around him, he just loves to take it all in and see what is going on! We think he feels like there is always a party going on because he would much rather be up with mom and dad than take a nap! But then he gets pretty worn out from all that fun and finally gives in and falls asleep. These days Connor is chatty and has lots to say. We also get honored with the biggest smiles! It is seriously the one thing which makes my day that much better! Sometimes it even looks like he wants to laugh but he just hasn't figured it out yet, but soon enough he'll have it down. He is a trooper with tummy time, he's doesn't get fussy or try to fight it and will even end up falling asleep. He just gets too comfy on the ground, I suppose. Such a silly boy. He is forming his own personality. He doesn't really look like Jason that much anymore, or me, but is definitely turning into his own little person and it is so fun to see. He loves mom and knows who I am without a doubt. He will always keep an eye on me to make sure he hasn't lost sight of me. But don't get me wrong, he definitely loves dad too! Connor is a champ and sleeps through the night, letting us get 7 hours of sleep! Bath time is still a popular event in our home, especially since he gets to splash and kick his legs. He likes to grab onto his Nuk and then launch it while he is lying on the floor. He is not aware of what he is doing I'm sure, but it is pretty funny. He is just curious and figuring out what that thing is in his mouth!
For me, I just love the special bond and connection that I have with my sweet boy. He brings so much more joy and happiness into our home because of the spirit he has. Being a mom has helped me to understand my own mom better. I have so much more appreciation for her and all of the amazing things she has accomplished. But most of all, it is the tender mercies which she continues to teach me that help me to be a mother to our little Connor and to fulfill the role of motherhood with honor.

Here are his two month stats
height 23 inches
weight 9 pounds
head circumference 15.4 inches

We just love him to pieces!
